Specialty Grains: 3/4 lb Crystal 60L Malt, 1/2 lb Pale Ale Malt, 2 oz Victory Malt, 1 oz Chocolate Malt, 2 oz Peated Malt
Extract: 6 lb Extra Pale Extract
60 Minute Hops: 1 oz Kent Golding
15 Minute Hops: 3/4 oz Kent Golding
5 Minute Hops: None
Yeast: Edinburgh Ale Yeast - WLP028
OG/FG: 1.042 / 1.009 (4.323% Alcohol)
Brewing Notes:
This extract style of Scottish Ale has several specialty grains. There was also no aroma hop addition at the 5 minute mark.
Results:
This ale was a fine Scottish Ale, although I don't think it tasted much like Belhaven Scottish Ale. It was probably the clearest ale I have brewed to date - I let it age for about 7 weeks before I carbonated and chilled the keg.
